With renovations to their home costing the tax payer £2.4M, and with their apparent quest for a life more private than that enjoyed by other prominent members of the royal family, are Meghan and Harry alienating the public?

The 2nd picture in your link is just a Gate Lodge to the Grounds of Windsor Park ,I believe ,and not where the royal couple now reside.
I don't really care personally, I imagine it will rumble on for a bit with them doing their own thing then come to a head and they will either drop slightly back into line with the traditionalists or stick to their guns and decamp to the States. Neither of them are exactly hard up for cash, they don't NEED to be active 'Royals' and the allure of being royal must have worn off ages ago for Harry and be nothing more than a novelty for Meghan. I do have sympathy for the three nannies in six weeks thing though- sometimes people are just not a good fit with you and your child and the style you want that child parented, so why should they stick with someone unsuitable? It's none of our business, any of it.
The link Danny gave on page 1 is Frogmore House.

This is Frogmore Cottage.

Exactly...as with Butlers, P.A's...etc......all left.
TBH though Sqad, I would really like to get rid of quite a few people we have to deal with, I can't see why they should be any different just because they are royal. Do you not have people you'd rather 'weren't in your air space'?
I seem to recall that the Duchess insisted that the nanny be American and male? Why, I wonder, when that narrows the choice from the traditional nanny's provided by Norland College that have served other members of the family well in the past.
The 3 nannies is a newspaper thing - is there any actual evidence that this is true?
Because it's their child and their preference? Is that not enough of a reason?
The first one the trialled from the agency was a night nurse, the second was a day nurse - that's all I know apart from the fact they want someone who will fit in well and be able to accompany them on the African Tour.
couldn't agree more, Calicogirl, nannies are one of the things you need to get right. Hire and fire till you find the right one.I don't see that doing this costs the public money.
My BIL and SIL went through 5 nannies in 6 months - because this person has to live in the house with them - they needed to be sure they got on with them.
When a couple begin to have children they become parents, and in the animal world, obviously including humans, the parents' function is to look after and raise their off-spring, not to farm out that responsibility and duty to strangers.
Sanmac. but don't you 'farm them out' when you send them to school.
Surely this latest ‘ royal ,” isn’t at boarding school yet
Anne, I was referring to children in general :-)

Nah not yet. Apparently she who wears the pants will have Archie educated at the American School in nearby Egham.
There are, obviously, quite a few years of raising and nurturing to be done between infancy and being of age to attend school.
Couldn’t care a fig.
