When is someone (ideally it should be her husband) finally going to stand up to this woman and say “No!”? https://www.express.co.uk/news/royal/1150909/Meghan-markle-news-latest-Wimbledon-duchess-of-sussex-duke-of-sussex-royal-baby-Archie Her monstrous ego and demands are totally out of control

Zebo, maybe Mrs Sussex does and allegedly behaving in this manner gives her a feeling of importance? :-)
Andy-Hughes, you are entitled to your opinion as am I, I just happen to see it how it is. I really liked her at first, the story of how they met and how he pro her and William and Kateposed to her, really lovely, BUT, its all gone downhill since then. As I have stated earlier, if she is willing to take public money, my money, your money, to fund her wedding, home and lifestyle then I'm afraid she has get to put up with what goes with being a member of the Royal Family. You can see there is friction between her, William and Kate, they are as different as chalk and cheese, Kate attended Wimbledon without fuss, whereas Meghan wanted to let the world know that she was there with her demands, cameras don't lie, her security are seen ordering people not to take photos, what on earth does she expect people to do, after all it is an event for the public, watched by millions around the world and thousands at the stadium. To me she is a diva and needs educating on the 'Royal way'!!!
Her Royal Obnoxiousness, the Princess of Excess, obviously wears the trousers, and Harry should grow a pair and act like a Royal.
I like her, she’s not a Stepford royal wife. I prefer her as a role model for my daughters than Kate (though I’ve nothing against her either). I was also under the impression that the Royal family put more into the pot than they take out (although I could be wrong).
Perhaps she will have a bespoke coat-of-arms made: "Veni Vidi Vici."
I find these threads fascinating, strange how the British way seems to have settled into this mostly critical rut - thankfully comments are offset with some general give and take.

I hope this stream of negativity doesn't unsettle their relationship, Harry must be greatly saddened if he reads the press coverage.
I was about to consider the issues raised by the OP and comment thoughtfully.

However, I decided to keep my peace having been totally thrown by a phrase in the first response; "protocol in the royal box".
The Duchess has a long way to go to catch up with Princess Michael of Kent in the diva stakes. The Queen once remarked of her,"She's far too grand for the likes of us!"
I wouldn't mind betting that Meghan (Rachel) Mountbatten-Windsor would soon be amenable to a bit of press intrusion if neither she nor her obseqious husband were mentioned or photograped in the press or media for some considerable time. If they were to fade into obscurity as a result of a, say, a combined media boycott I'm sure she'd be out and about trying to grab headlines before long.

Call me cynical but I don't think the Duchess of Sussex married for love.

And I also think William and Catherine will still be together and happy in 20 years' time. I'm afraid I don't hold out the same hope for Harry and his bride.
I agree with you entirely LCG.
I haven't read most of the posts - but jeez - she is only a kid - just after giving birth which is tremendous, a sleeze bag of a father, sister and brother - give her a chance. For god's sake she is only in the firm over 2 years.
I agree Jenny, at 37 she's barely out of the womb and can have no idea of what's going on around her.
is that sarky Dougy
hrh is welcome to pop round to mine for a bit of weeding ... free tea
AH, //theshhh - What we all need to remember is that every single piece of information about the Royal Family, every SINGLE piece, comes from the media, whose job it is to sell papers.//

That isn’t entirely true. The Royals have their own press offices and their own websites.
saintpeter - // Andy-Hughes, you are entitled to your opinion as am I, I just happen to see it how it is. //

But that is entirely my point, you don't 'see it how it is ...' you see it how the media tells you it is.

The nonsense that the Duchess had seats around her kept empty has already been debunked - it turns out it was Wimbledon officials who kept the area clear, and it appears that when she heard about it, the Duchess asked for people to be allowed in.

But again, that's the media, so I have no idea if that is actually true or not, which underlines my point - we know nothing of what any of the Royals say or do except what the media choose to spin in our general direction.

I believe absolutely none of it, and if others choose to go along, and get themselves into a lather about it, then good for them.
Has there ever been a royal divorce?
(in recent history)
I'm baffled by all the whinging about this woman. I'm guessing the tabloids have got in in for her because she's not as co-operative with them as they'd like or something. I personally couldn't give a toss what they'd like, so well done her.
