My confirmation of my status as a Moderator is slightly less relevant than confirming that the sun rose this morning.
You must be the only regular AB'er who is unaware - it crops up with tedious regularity - but it's nothing you need to concern yourself with, so armed with that information ... er ... well, nothing really.

The choice to be 'celebrities', or indeed royal, is not one the couple can make.
By birth, and by marriage, the couple are royal, and the 'celebrity' part of their profile is created and controlled by the media and they can do nothing about it.
So I don;t think they are 'playing' anything - simply doing what they do, and accepting the nonsense of celebrity as an unfortunate byproduct of being in the Royal Family at this point in history.

Kate managed to go to Wimbledon without creating a fuss and appears to do everything else without making a fuss. I too think Harry and Meghan need to decide whether they want to be Royals or celebrities. If the latter, then they relinquish the benefits they currently enjoy as a result of their ‘Royal’ status. I think the public will eventually lose patience with them.

As I said in my previous post, I don;t think they have a choice about either, as things stand.
I don't believe Harry would cause the seismic embarrassment to his beloved grandmother that would be caused by him turning his back on his royal status, and I don't believe that the couple can stop being 'celebrities' because it is not within their power to do so.

I don't see them particularly trying to be celebrities. If anything, they're probably trying not to, and that's the problem - the tabloids and the public seem to want them to be, and don't like it when they don't jump through all the celebrity hoops they're expected to, like allowing full access to all areas of their life.

naomi - // AH, //Is your perception based on anything other than what you have read and seen about her in the media?//
I know that Harry and Meghan chose to flout protocol by keeping the names of Archie’s godparents a secret. That isn’t ‘perception’ It’s a matter of record. //
I don't see that 'choosing to flout protocol', which as you advise, appears to be a joint choice, and may not be made just by the couple, but may be at the request of the godparents and / or others, equates with Meghan being a 'diva'.

Piers Morgan is giving MM a 10-point guide on how to make herself more popular. Like him or not I reckon he's on the right track.

Most of these negative reports seem to come from the Daily Wail, the Sun, the Express. I'm not sure they can be considered to be the most trustworthy publications. I'd take all they print with a grain of salt.
I don't see that choosing not to make the identity of your child's godparents public knowledge is evidence of being a "diva"...I'd not be surprised that whatever they do has to be approved.

Indeed, anyone who does otherwise is a complete fool in my opinion. They really do seem to be going after her as some kind of vindictive campaign, which is what they usually do to people that have been uncooperative or critical of them.
That Piers Morgan article is spiteful garbage. No surprise there though.
