//In order to do any sort of sensible deal we'll first have to leave with no deal.// Spot on, 3Ts. And three years have been wasted trying to negotiate the other way around.Mrs May never had any intention of leaving without a deal. In fact if she had her way we wouldn't leave at all. The EU knew this. Hence the "Agreement", which is arguably worse than membership,...

Can't stop long, just off to get 98 cents for my pound as reported in the Mail today.
Nothing to worry about me old cock sparrer, it's only money.
Rule Britannia etc.
I think what Barnier meant was that it's the only way to get billions and billions out of us.
As long as both sides are ruined that makes it fine.
Neither side will be ruined. Stop being so dramatic, Jim. The EU is scared.
As long as both sides suffer appreciable economic and political fallout that sets their economic prospects back and causes many people's livelihoods to be negatively affected that makes it fine.
Stop with the drama. Jim. It's old hat now and well past its sell by date.
I'm going to continue to argue my side of the argument, thanks very much -- and it at least has the benefit of being supported by a great deal of evidence.
Evidence of the outcome of something that hasn't happened yet. Clever! Carry on.

Was he at the end of a long table stroking a white long haired cat in a sinister fashion when he said this?
Yes, a bit like Juncker (I think) who said the EU would make life difficult for us (or words to that effect).
// (or words to that effect). //

I bet the actual words were ..You vill find life difficult. Ve haf vays of making life difficult for you.
Haaaaa! Quite possibly! :o)
Wages up, employment up, unemployment at it's lowest for 43 years in the UK. German banks laying off thousands, rioting continues in France, Sweden in meltdown, Italy a basket case. Consequences are already giving a indication of what to expect more of, and the puppets in the EUSSR know it. More project fear, the only song on their playlist. Plus...….did you notice that the "election" of the latest corrupt head of the Ponzi scheme, with a total vote of 51.3% is deemed to be fair, correct and the will of the EUSSR meps? But just very but the 51.9% of voters who favour leaving this cess pit of corruption were insufficient in numbers to be a convincing majority. Meeehh.

Remember when we "crashed out" of the ERM and the economy inconveniently boomed? Rinse, repeat.
I believe it was Tusk who said there is a place in hell for us. Thought he was talking about some sort of Global Warming . :-)
Good Lord jim, do you work for Project fear by any chance? Even your favourite mouthpiece the Independent doesn't agree with you!

TTT, it is difficult to know where the EU are coming from. Are they really that deluded or do they think they will be able to stop Brexit and hang onto the UK enormous contribution to their Ponzi scheme?

Maybe there should be a march on Brussels and everyone posts a kipper through a certain letterbox?
Remember. The opening gambit from the EUSSR after the historic vote was to suggest that the UK would perhaps like to defer our exit for 5 years and see whether we could bring about change to the scheme that was to our liking. Even going as far as to muse that perhaps we could become more aligned to the two chief manipulators Germany and France.( thereby getting a bigger share of their ill gotten gains.) We declined. Much to the ongoing outrage, and chagrin, of the gangsters. It will continue until be leave, and we will need to be ever vigilant. Just as we always were.
Vegetables and fruit will become scarce. Why? Are all the EU producers that we now get them from going to dump them in the sea on the way over. They will still want to sell to us .
As for flights to foreign countries costing a bit more then it might solve some of the air pollution problem if more people decided to holiday in Britain. It would help our economy if more money was spent here instead of abroad. Also those EU countries would suffer economically if they had fewer tourists. Not being nasty but it would hit them hard.
We need more manufacturing industries again ,get people off benefits and at least try to make Britain successful . Some people need to stop being so defeatist. It's not the end of the world!
Well I'm peparing for a diet of Spam, waffles and whine whether it happens or not.
Maybe a warm Spitfire at the weekend.

Looking forward to 'they never told us it would be like this' if it ever happens, which it won't.
