"News that Buckingham Palace has let her do it is a big surprise though, because Meghan is now supposed to be a member of the royal family and not a publicity-craving celebrity."
Ah! yes........but I thought on AB that it was a hazardous process in believing what the press says.....but I take your point.
However i would rather believe mrs sqad and her mates ..;-)

Amusing. I tend not to take a lot of interest in royal family nonsense because they are fairly useless most of the time, and where they are useful it's only because our political system hasn't been overhauled to avoid the sovereign needing to get involved. For the most part they've not got a sensible role and are simply recipients of the largest SS cheques. An anachronism. But on a whim, I checked the article. If true it is quite something. Made me grin anyway.
Not a fan of royalty, but in her defence if you like, who wouldn't choose an exciting day out, rather than make yourself available to greet a clap trap like Trump, as for the other clap trap, ( Morgan) he will dig dirt wherever he can to earn a crust. Don't lets forget why Morgan was sacked from being an editor. I believe he tried to disgrace the British army, to sell papers. He as not changed any.

/// He is bitter, but to be honest the bile directed at DOS is quite sickening especially as none of the people know her just what is written in the paper. ///
/// 9 Stories in the DM yesterday about her - the media is stirring up the hatred towards her.
Nobody knows this woman but there are several out there that claim she is classless and conniving - what do they base this on?
Certainly not personal knowledge! ///
And I suppose you and others like you, contain a personal knowledge about President Trump, but it doesn't stop you and others from directing your bile towards the President or any other celebrity that you have taken a dislike to, so why should this 'Royal' be any different?

There is absolutely no comparison between the Duchess and the President.
The point being debated is the Duchess's recent actions, which she undertakes as a member of the Royal Family, and as such she has absolutely no right of reply in either defence or explanation of what she does and says.
This is a situation she has undertaken willingly and with complete prior knowledge, but the absence of a right of reply does mean that it is open season on her in the media.
The President on the other hand, has rather too much freedom to promote his obnoxious personal views via his Twitter account - he can defend himself as often and as much as he pleases from the attacks against himself which he gleefully orchestrates and clearly relishes.
As I say - no comparison.
