Never in all my life have I heard that this word is racist. I've even used it myself at times - quick call the hate police !!! What a load of old tripe, but so typical in this day and age.

True, but in this case clearly not said with any racial connotation intended. Anyone can be uppity after all, irrespective of skin colour.
Anyway, back to the key issue.....'Oooooh that Meghan Markle, she expects everyone to call her ma'am and bow and curtsey to her and be chauffeur driven everywhere, and live in a palace. She's clearly got ideas above her station , who does she think she is?'.
