The coup idea is simply a very bad idea. The voting public would punish them at an election which can’t be far away. A coup would guarantee Johnson victory.
Labour should give up avoiding the 31st October deadline forget about a VONC, and let Johnson crash us out of the EU and capitalise on the grim reality that that will bring. Plan for an election in the spring, and win it. Then begin trying to repair the situation.

Just Corbyn's la la land vision of what is probable. The latest survey illustrates just how deluded he is.
""YouGov have found that 48% of Brits prefer No Deal and no Corbyn as PM, compared to only 35% who support Corbyn in Number 10 with a second referendum.
That of course includes 80% of Leave voters who would back a No Deal, and interestingly a further 23% of Remain voters.""

YMF; "May i borrow your crystal ball, i'd like to know the winner of the 3.30 at Pontefract."
No doubt, many Tories will probably go for the fav, Shades Of Blue (definitely not Maygold!), but i'm hoping the fact Paul Hanagan has been allowed to ride for William Haggas (Richard Fahey has a runner in a race he has won twice recently) points to Tappiserie as the winner:-)

Labour should be going all out to AVOID a General Election now. Instead, they appear to be trying to connive one. They are in no shape to fight one at the moment, and would certainly never get a majority.
But the Conservative Government are on their last legs, there majority of 1 and a party full of Remainer Rebels means that they will cease to be able to function properly. Out of desperation, Johnson may try to do the same as May and call a General Election in the hope of getting a working majority. But like May, he will almost certainly fail.
Sadly we are stuck in this loop of national malaise.

Boris is not May. She fought a disastrous campaign and was lucky not to lose outright. Only the Tory revival in Scotland, which saw an increase from 1 to 14 seats saved her from being out on her aris. Boris has the charisma tp make an effective campaigner. Strange though it may seem to some, quite a lot of people like him, and not just Tories.
