Andrew is worth £75million. Has a palace that is paid for. And is 8th in line to succession to the Throne.
Whether he noticed his best mate was a pimp and had lots of young girls fluttering about is completely irrelevant.
He may have been naive or blind, but in the end it doesn’t matter, because he is immune.
Some people have positions of authority bestowed ‘pon them which they are obviously unsuitable for, AH.

(Anyone hear any bells?)
Zacs - // Some people have positions of authority bestowed ‘pon them which they are obviously unsuitable for, AH. //

The irony is, Prince Andrew has absolutely no 'authority' whatsoever, he simply behaves as though he has, because he clearly thinks he should.
Loud and clear, Zacs.
Cheers spicey.

AH. Woooosh.

Actually, I ignored your jibe in order not to encourage you further with your childish nonsense.

Since you persist - grow up.
Pants on fire.
The answer is no. There may be more to come out about this, but we'll have to wait and see. Even if there isn't, the answer is still no.

AH - you seem to be more concerned about the quality of prince Andrew's staff than the possibility he might have been involved in criminal activity.

I have no idea how you would reach such a conclusion from the posts I have offered to date on the subject.

I am following the line of debate concerning the Prince's attempts to wriggle out of the situation, and the utter failure of those paid to help him do what he patently cannot do for himself, which is act like a mature responsible adult mindful of his status.

The possibility that he might have been involved in criminal activity is, at this stage, just that - a possibility, so I can speculate from now until next week if you wish, but what would be the point of that?
This is clearly not going to go away, and when a foreign country's legal operatives are involved, Andrew might find, for the first time in his privileged free-loading pointless existence, that 'Mummy' can't make this go away for him.
MI6 can tho. It will all be airbrushed over. Just like Diana’s death.

/// None of those are crimes in the legal sense, but they point to a man who has never had to think for himself, but is still surrounded by the wrong people doing his thinking for him. ///

Never had to think for himself???

As an helicopter pilot during the Falkland war, I would have thought, that he would had have to think a lot for himself.

I would never wish to make light of the Prince's undoubted courage under fire, but if that is placed in the credit column, it does little to balance against the nonsensical life and stupid boorish behaviour he has exhibited before, and absolutely since.
None of us know whether or not he was involved, but Andrew knew the man had served time and he knew why – and yet he continued the association. That in itself is not a criminal offence – but his judgement at the very least must be called into question. There’s no way out of that.
You are right mr Hughes, was he under fire in the Falkland war?maybe, we don’t know for sure, anyway my personal opinion is that he knew what was going on and that he was a willing participant,he says he never knew what was going on,never witnessed any wrong doing I don’t believe him,he wasn’t called RANDY ANDY for nothing.
Whenever the succession takes place I think the next king will have less respect from & authority over his relatives (like herding cats?) & less loyalty from his subjects than our current queen. Unless he quickly institutes major reforms he will be in for a rough ride.
The queen must despair of Andrew. What an embarrassment he is.
the Queen loves him, favourite son, though it appears she thinks Charles is a bit of a twerp.
naomi - // The queen must despair of Andrew. What an embarrassment he is. //

I actually think the Queen has a rare blind spot where her second son is concerned.

She has indulged him and his nonsense far too far throughout his life, and because such indulgence travels down from the top, the entire Palace machine has done so as well, and this is the result.
