I don't think a civil court can overturn a decision of the High Court.
BBC have said it doesn't immediately affect the suspension. So what does it mean then!
We live in the age of instant information and I want to know. NOW!
This is the Court of Session and I do think that it's a step up. Put another way, this would be a non-story if it didn't have an effect in overturning the earlier ruling.
About time England sought its independence from Scotland!
dannyk, I'm not clear what court exactly this was heard in, but as far as I know the Scottish appeal court can hear civil and criminal appeals.

There's also a case pending in NI. The UK supreme court will hear appeals from all of them.

The Gina Miller case was thrown out by the High Court in London,
As I understand it Parliament will only be suspended for a few days more than is usual so by the time they’ve finished messing around and arguing the extra time will have been spent.

this just looks like a hissy fit from our friends north of the budda! There is no basis for it to be unlawful so I expect the UK supreme court to rule as such.

so what is their basis for the ruling? The PM has done nothing more or different to that of any previous PM. What is different here?
