They have had the whole of the summer holidays to protest, or is this just another exercise brought on by their left-wing teachers?

All seems reminiscent to the Nazi teachers in 1930's Germany.

I'm well aware that there are plenty of fine scientific videos on YouTube. But you still don't go to YouTube for scientific facts. At best it's a first point of call to encourage further research.
And if, as Theland said for example, you go to YouTube to find "real scientific facts" by such known biased and flawed sources as Patrick Moore, then it exposes the flaw in the position.

The best source for the current picture of scientific research remains journals, review articles, and the like. It certainly isn't arrogant to say so.
Jim but you didn't 'say so'. You said //Nobody goes to YouTube for "real scientific facts"// - and then by way of hopeful diversion, added Theland's wonky efforts to the mix. Yes, people do go to YouTube for 'real' scientific facts.
Anyway, may Fred & I intervene?

“There are no facts, only interpretations.”

OK, then let me put it another way. YouTube is a source of both the highest-quality real science and the lowest-quality garbage. And since there's no quality control, the two are presented alongside each other as equals. I don't think anyone can argue that point. It's down to the viewer to sort the wheat from the chaff -- and in many cases I don't think it's unreasonable at all to suggest that it's hard for people to sort one from the other. Theland's "wonky" stuff clearly plays into that and is not remotely a "diversion". He was, after all, the one who started off this entire discussion.

A separate criticism of my post you made, that you weren't sure "who said that" human impact is "negligible at best", is also odd.
When you say, // Nature will do what it does, and neither you nor anyone else will stop it. // what else does that imply but that human impact is negligible? And, even if you personally weren't saying it, this angle is anyway the latest attempt to push climate change scepticism: people tend to have given up lately pushing the idea that the climate isn't changing, and nowadays restrict themselves to saying that humans aren't causing it. They were wrong to start with, and they are wrong now, to say that.

Tim Ball didn't win his case, and regardless, you don't go to law courts for scientific truth either. I'm not sure what point you are trying to make, Togo. And since the site you are using is filled with pseudoscientific and conspiratorial garbage, you shouldn't be using it as a credible source anyway.
'Surely Iraq, zebo?'

I may have info you don't!!! Or I may have made an error!!!
Haha Jim lad. We know you don't go to courts "for scientific truth" but you do if you want the right sort of "democracy" and pseudoscientific arguments are only acceptable if they are conjured up by the "scientific" doomsayers. Just for the record Jim in was the charlatan Mann who sued Ball for traducing his "theory". ie the doomsday hysteric sued the bloke who exposed him.......and still he refuses to publish his results. Is that what scientists do Jim in our brave new Whirled?
Do you quality-control your sources ever, Togo?

principia-scientific has published 378 pages of articles. I'm going through them and finding, among other things, 9.11 conspiracies, MMR conspiracies, some weird article about how 5G is actually a weapon, a Moon landing conspiracy, an article discussing whether or not Black Holes exist; something calling itself "physics 5.0", which essentially argues that everything in physics since 1900 is a load of crap; and so on.

It's utterly shameful that you think it's a remotely credible source on anything. I'm still researching the Ball v. Mann case, but I wouldn't trust your source if my life depended on it. It's utter nonsense, it really is. And the saddest thing is that people are too busy arguing over whether or not you go to YouTube to understand science to notice it.
I get alittle tired of screechy know it all kids telling us what to to do. "Their world" when they havent done a thing to earn it.
Surely we brought them into the World so it would be theirs?

Kids wouldn't have to tell you what to do if you'd been paying attention to the problems already.

The irony of it all is that the children who are telling us what to do are the ones who shouldn't be here, half the problem is the world is overcrowded.

How many children did you tell yesterday that they shouldn't be here Vulcan?

I am guessing by your response you don't have any, which is fair enough.
Jim, //A separate criticism of my post you made, that you weren't sure "who said that" human impact is "negligible at best",//

I didn’t say I wasn’t sure. I asked you who said it.

//When you say, // Nature will do what it does, and neither you nor anyone else will stop it. // what else does that imply but that human impact is negligible?//

It implies nothing of the sort. You’ve made that up. It says what it says.

It would be useful if you’d stop putting words into other people’s mouths.
//The irony of it all is that the children who are telling us what to do are the ones who shouldn't be here, half the problem is the world is overcrowded.//

Hardly the kids' fault for being born. What do you suggest? We euphonise sine of them?

I'm sure you didn't give a thought for overcrowding when you were younger and making babies (if you were lucky enough to have them)
The thing is, Togo, you little people, whether it's science or the EU, can't tell fact from fiction.
You should get back to racing your whippets, or whatever it is you people do, and leave the thinking to us elites. (and Judges, of course)
Euphonise? I do that, bloody saucepan lids.
