It sounds all very nice, although he makes no comment on putting right the unjust taxation imposed on me. But first he and his party need to be electable, prove they're fit to be in government. The interview with Paul Johnson from the IFS (I respect his opinions) says he hasn't pledged to scrap UC- just get rid of the bits that aren't working well or he doesn't like- eg change from monthly to fortnightly (I have no objection to that), removing benefits cap (ie buying votes from those who play the system best), removing the freeze (I can see a case) and reducing delays in UC (sounds reasonable). I hope he doesn't try to go further and unpick the whole system
Isn't that what all Party Leaders do come Election time? Bribe the electorate. So, the "most vulnerable in our society" face a huge dilemma. They either vote for a party that will drive them deep into debt by carrying on with the fiasco that is UC, or they vote for a party that will abolish UC but who, according to the ongoing 'Project Fear' will destroy the country's finances. Decisions, decisions.
Surely anyone with an iota of common sense cannot truly believe that Universal Credit actually works? IDS should have held his hands up and scrapped it years back. It. Does. Not. Work.

Not that old chestnut, Bobbisox. We are all aware why he doesn't want en election just yet. It's been said numerous times on here and a million more in the media. JC knows that, sooner or later, he will have to agree to a GE and he is just doing what BoJo is doing - getting in a few early blows. They all do it.

And as per it will be the already overly squeezed middle who will be squeezed even more to pay for Corbyn's largesse.
'twas ever thus with Labour, but the hard left it will be even more. I don't see why they just don't admit they despise the middle and be done with it.
Despite the laughable height he has managed to get to, Corbyn is an intellectual pygmy, so I'm concerned that this really not very clever man could be PM.
Other than benefit claimants, you have got to be stark raving mad to want him being PM

there seem to have been a few problems implementing it, so it could do with an overhaul before they build up any further

So far their antics as the opposition confirm they shouldn't be let anywhere near government, and ideally nowhere near opposition either. He wants to get into power he first needs to support democracy and the democratic decision we all jointly made. At present he seems keen to give the appearance of a modern day Liberal, which is no use to anyone at all.
