I hope England carry out their threat to walk off if any players are abused. In fact I would urge all teams to start doing it.

Football seems to attract a certain type of person who revel in the tribe mentality. I am a Saracens season ticket holder and I also go to as many England games at Twickenham as I can. Not once, ever, in all the years I have been attending rugby have I seen any trouble. Whether it's domestic games or Internationa l games the fans mix with each other and sit with each...

It's not all about skin colour. I'm a Spurs fan (shut up), and have witnessed 5,000 West Ham "fans" making a hissing noise, supposed to represent the noise of gas taps murdering Jews. Football has been poisoned by racism for decades. I always believed that lifetime bans need to be imposed by clubs for any supporter found guilty of such abuse, on top of any court sentences.
Is there not a problem if players/teams are prepared to walk off the pitch due to racist chants from the spectators? Let's say i support a team who are getting thrashed 3-0 with no sign of improvement. So i begin a racist chant, picked up by a few other morons and the players on the leading side walk off the pitch. Match abandoned?
Retro, they have Hail Marys in American football. Perhaps that's
why their fans don't resort to loutish and riotous behaviour:)

Whether it's domestic games or International games the fans mix with each other and sit with each other perfectly happily.
Only last week, before the Eng/Arg game, a BBC reporter was standing outside the ground saying the English and Argentinian supporters had created a party atmosphere and were drinking together. Can you imagine this EVER happening in football?
It's the mentality of some football supporters that turns them into invective-spitting racist, violent idiots. You meet a better class of person at rugby.
