IMO continually elect a party uninterested in the fortune of the whole nation but only in the local area and one will effectively transform party & area into a backwater that can't agree with national parties. It's all very well hoping to hold the balance of power in order to get an unfair share of benefits, but the most common likely outcome is to get sidelined....
They should be careful what they wish for. I won't be going there again in this life, so the inevitable hard border with England wont effect me. They don't know which currency they would use, but after paying off their share of the national debt they won't have any, & being adrift from the EU as well as the UK they'll be in dire straits.
Well who knows if there will be another referendum but more immediately that’s 13 Tory MPs potentially gone. Even if it turns out less it’ll probably be at least 10.
I think it does pose a serious question tho about the future of the UK.
Supporters of Brexit and in particular the “let Scotland go” brigade should also be careful what they wish for
