It's OK lads i'll take another one for the team.
At the risk of sounding silly...
"Two completely different scenarios which it is completely inappropriate to compare."
How so Zacks? I would seriously like you to tell me.
How are fans forcing open a gate, leading to many being crushed and the police chief to be charged, different to that of fire fighters, literally telling people to stay sat in a building that is literally burning to the ground and being debated if they should be prosecuted?
Both public sector, both incidents that weren't directly their fault.. Or could be put down to training and experience
I'd welcome a opinion of how they are completely different.

OK so don't say ur opinion like it's a fact and like it's an answer to the thread.
"they followed an agreed protocol."
The protocol was futile because it was a protocol for a situation that wasn't occurring.
How do you not understand that? They didn't arrive at the situation that warranted a protocall they arrived at a building that was burning from the outside in.

They followed an agreed protocol in telling people to stay put. Hopefully they can't be prosecuted for that.
If one doesn't believe in ones opinion (which you've taken as me believing it to be a fact) then there's no pint in making a comment. You've done it yourself when you state 'could be put down to training and experience'.
Stranmgely we agree on the fact that the protocol was useless in the Grenfell scenario. But again, I would say, how can someone be prosecuted for doing their best to tackle a situation which was unprecedented?
