Clarion, //Labour closed them because they were running out resources.//
So the resource – coal – was somehow miraculously replenished once the Conservatives gained power? Crikey! That’s clever! How did that happen?
//Twatcher closed them and other industries to deliberately bring hardship and unemployment on the miners, out of vindictiveness because she wanted to crush the unions.//
What nonsense! No one who understands business – which you clearly don’t – closes it down deliberately, least of all to bring hardship to anyone. If an industry is unsustainable it’s unsustainable – and the coal mines were unsustainable. Labour knew that – which is why it closed so many mines. As for the unions, they were holding this country to ransom. That's the truth. Arthur Scargill was so vocal in encouraging the miners to strike but he didn’t go short. Hypocrite. As I told your sidekick diddly the other day, your Socialist Utopian fantasy doesn’t exist - anywhere in the world - and it never has. Even in the most austere of so-called equal societies the elite thrive. A bit of light reading for you:

You and diddlydo embrace the politics of envy. You don’t have it so you don’t want anyone else to have it. Perhaps you should have tried harder.
