From what I heard from a M.E. expert on LBC yesterday about 75% of Iranians do not support the current regime or the late Soleimani. The mourning throngs are 'invited' to attend the procession and parade in front of the World's media. ( Bit like N.Korea). They are offered free transport or a breakfast to attend the farce. The ‘leaked’ letter wasn’t even signed and has been refuted by the US administration.
