May be this should be in the TV section, but here goes.
Last night Ross Kempt visited HM Belmarsh. Prison and spoke to Tommy Robinson.
Why on earth did they incarsinate Tommy in the most secure prison of the land when his only crime was commiting a breach of the peace?

Prisoners, upon conviction at the CCC, used to be sent to HMP Wandsworth for assessment before assigned a prison elsewhere in the UK. If a Cat A crime they either stayed at Wandsworth or were escorted to another.
When HMP Belmarsh was built ( and now slowly sinking in the marshland it was built on) it took over the role of a holding and assessment prison for prisoners receiving a custodial sentence from CCC or other Crown Courts.
Most HMPs have protective custody wings, even Cat B, so I also fail to understand why he was detained in HMP Belmarsh to complete his sentence for which was a comparatively lesser crime than most of the Belmarsh detainees.

AOG - // Oh yes we can't have anyone filming these perverts can we? //
First of all, they are not guilty of anything, including being perverts, until the court proves them to be so.
And if the actions of 'Tommy Robinson' compromises the ability of the law to be followed to its correct conclusion, then no, we can't have him filming anyone under those circumstances.

Thanks to his endless self-aggrandising nonsense, out of which he has created a lucrative profession, 'Tommy' is likely to be the target of any idiot who fancies the publicity to be generated by hurting him with varying degrees of severity.
The court is exercising a duty of care to 'Mr Robinson' by endeavouring to keep him out of harm's way - even though such potential harm is entirely self-generated, some people have to be protected from the potentially dangerous results of their own stupidity.

Corby - // SPICERACK, verdicts being delivered did not alter the fact he had defied a Court Order not to report on that case until the outcome of a connected trial was known. //
As you will remember - 'Tommy Robinson' imagined that calling himself a 'citizen journalist' would grant him immunity from the law, with the same sort of logic that a toddler uses when they cover their eyes and perceive that adults can no longer see them.
Of course, sometimes, as in this case, 'Tommy' comes up against the grown up world in which he does actually live, as opposed to the romantic fantasy of himself as the saviour of the UK - another example being the loss of his deposit when trying to run for a seat in the European Parliament - and scoring 2.2% of the available vote.

Spicerack - // The only thing I appear to think is that you were spreading fake news. //
Clearly not - which is why I answered your question about why you were being told that 'Tommy Robinson' defied the court order regarding reporting restrictions - and their advance conviction is not affected by that.
// Any decent man would thank me for the correction. //
Since you feel offended that I did not thank you for the correction, and because I am absolutely a decent man - thank you for the correction.

because the original poster bleated that Tarmy was in the slammer for breach of the peace [ as molesworth wd say and eny fule kno that you cant do time for Breach of the Peace]
er
[Since breach of the peace is not a criminal offence, it is not punishable either by a fine or imprisonment and proceedings for breach of the peace do not give rise to a conviction. Magistrates, however, can bind someone over to keep the peace.]
one in the eye for you old boy - as one Donald trump might say
