// not worked out quite as she imagined.// True Judge. She was convinced that she was going to turn into a fairytale princess after "kissing the frog", and ride pink unicorns through the rainbows with cheering serfs everywhere she went. Never expected to have to open a new disability ramp on the Glasgow job centre in the pouring rain.

I am getting a little fed up with us being constantly accused of racism if one dares to criticise her or anyone who happens to have a dark skin.
Meghan happens to be of mixed race so why do they class themselves as black?
The problem here is a clash of culture, the English are the most tolerant nation in the world if anyone are racist it is the blacks they seem to be able to say what they like about white people.
A typical example was broadcast on LBC radio.
Although the presenter was perfectly calm and polite to a black woman caller she was so aggressive, rude, insulting and shouting so that the presenter could not explain in a calm calculated way.
Some say they have a chip on their shoulders I say they are the ones who are RACIST.

AH, //I'm not at all sure that Meghan does 'class herself as black' - do you have any instances when she has done so? //
She describes herself as 'a woman of colour'...

.... but I really don't think this thread should be side-tracked by aog's post. Her ethnicity isn't the issue and it's irrelevant to the decision the couple have made.

//...she's celebrity.//
I don't know how you define "celebrity". She may qualify now, having married the Queen's grandson. However, her status beforehand was hardly what you'd call "A-List". Until 2012 her career had been confined to bit parts and one-off appearances in various minor productions. Then she seemed to hit the "big time" (i.e. regular employment) in something called "Suits". Her salary during this time was around $50,000 per episode. This is very comfortable but when compared to genuine "A-Listers"

I think you'll find that it was $300,000 per annum, jo.

Her payment for appearances in the hardly watched Suits were not per episode, neither does she earn from repeats. She was on an annual contract of about $250,00 acccording to tax returns filed in America. She did quite well in the divorce from her "director" ex husband. Me,again Markle has decided that she and her family do not want to be associated with the racist Royal Family but are willing to exploit the tenuous and brief connection if they can just get enough mugs onside.(Rather than selling them like used to happen)
This is nothing compared to the divorce that is almost guaranteed. The film rights are already no doubt being auctioned by her "handlers".

I'm on record somewhere (possibly here) as saying that I wished them well, but couldn't see this marriage lasting more than about 5 years. I'm not sure now. If Harry does continue on this course of cutting himself off from his family, roots and familiar way of life (thereby finding himself adrift in the world) he may well cling on to her no matter what, even if the marriage becomes unhappy for him.

Well it was 6 years ago Peter believe it or not and it was actually a Malaysian airliner :-)
That was also a mistake (presumably although to this day Russia uniquely denies responsibility which has been proved beyond doubt).
I don’t think we were headed for a war, but yes it’s true that tragically this incident has probably made it less likely anyway.
