A pretty appalling show from the BBC last night. The camera zoomed over the assembled throng in Parliament Square, Mr Farage was seen standing on stage, but where was his speech? Instead of him we got Emily Whatshername prattling on. Did any of the television companies offer a fitting tribute to this momentous occasion in this country’s history? It appears, once again, that the BBC just couldn’t bring itself to report as it should - honestly.

You're right, Naomi. It was a disgrace, a clear attempt to sour any feeling of joy for the majority of people in this country - those who have had to suffer years of abuse and disappointment - and for what? For the benefit of the miserable minority that took such delight in every setback we faced - and the broadcasters were never shy of showing the glee and...

I don't think Naomi is miserable just disappointed.
It's so hard to tell ...

but I think Maise was talking about Remainers (or, at least, the more bitter among them).

Jim's confusion I take as read, but I assume you're tired Mamyalynne.
Not as much disappointed as quite a few of us here who are hanging on in their jobs trading with (basically) our main customer-the EU.Our boss is making plans to move to Poland.I wont be celebrating when i get my redundancy letter.
Not tired thank you.

I have it wrong do I?

Apologies, was going by the negativity after the celebratory mood of last night.
I wasn't confused, N -- just poking a little fun. It was clear who Maisie meant.
Perhaps run a sweepstake to choose new names to stick on people?
I was the one disappointed, Mamyalynne - and you were nearly right, the negativity (spoiling) the celebratory mood of last night', is the reason why.

That would without doubt end in tears.

^to mamyalynne’s suggestion.
I joined in some of the threads last night in a jovial way, some were very silly of course and others were fine.

"I'm on my third, fourth, fifth bottle" for example - didn't mither with those.
It was in light of the earlier posts and was not meant seriously, not a fan of the label myself.
If people are happy then generally so am I.
My problem was with the TV coverage - nothing to do with AB (people on here are quite right to express themselves as they see fit, but broadcasters have a responsibility to the public as a whole - they appear to have forgotten that since my day).
Difficult to keep people happy without labels Mamya: unfortunately.
Sadly they seem necessary for some. ):o(
That's a clever little gfx flourish - just what I had in mind.

And an unilluminated giant cock inside. ;-)
no he isn't, and for once i wish that people would think about what they put as i find your remarks offensive.
Well said Mozz - absolutely spot on.
i bet that if someone had said that about Corbyn you would be up in arms.
