Dear God, we’re all evil monsters now, what hope for an adult debate here :)
If he hadn't have gone surfing, then Hastings lifeboat, rescue teams from two further coastguard stations and the coastguard helecoptor wouldn't have been deployed, therefore HIS actions were responsible for them being used.

Im not saying he shouldn't have been rescued, but I am saying that he was foolish to be out in those conditions and put himself in grave danger.
"he is obviously oblivious to the dangers."

Then why act like he did it deliberately?

Pff. Pick a side.
Its called showing off Bobbs, nothing more, at the cost of putting other people in danger. Some folk will do whatever to get on the internet.
" therefore HIS actions were responsible for them being used."

He is not responsible for the RNLI. That couldn't be clearer mozz.

And the cricket bat thing was said in jest, I don't seriously endorse physically attacking someone.

You got one group saying it was deliberate you got another saying he's stupid you have some implying he should have drifted to sea you've got another implying he should be put in pillory and fined thru the roof. I think you all need to come to an actual consensus. Only thing you can agree on is that this surfer needs negative press and to be abused online by the likes of you lot.

Pathetic.
//He is not responsible for the RNLI. That couldn't be clearer mozz//

But he was responsible for them having to be used to try and rescue him. Unless you're suggesting they shouldn't have bothered?
No he wasn't. In what way is he responsible for what action the RNLI take? He's not, in any way.

The volunteers are actually legally responsible.
//some implying he should have drifted to sea//

The only one suggesting that is you. I'm guessing you've got little better to do than stir this morning.

TD, I think you need to step away for a few mom, constant insults is not the way a debate should be conducted, your are coming over as Mr Angry, you can not be right all the time, now calm down and debate like an adult

"I think you all need to come to an actual consensus"
me too - and we probably all need to come to a consensus that he is a wang
//No he wasn't. In what way is he responsible for what action the RNLI take? He's not, in any way.

So you ARE suggesting that the RNLI and Coastguard should've let him drown? I thought we were the evil monsters?
