“ Caroline Flack's management is now blaming the CPS.“
I would have thought that if her boyfriend withdrew the charges then, that would be it. Why did the CPS carry on with the case?
My late husband, during his drinking days, was abusive to me and my daughter and we called the police. He spent the night in the cells. I was interviewed the next day and said I didn’t want to press charges.
End of story. I’m not famous but I didn’t want it to go any further, just like Caroline’s boyfriend. Why did they press ahead with the charges?

Thankfully the days of accepting that spouse beating is just one of things are long gone. Welcome to 2020

I saw this on 'breaking news' last night when something else was being shown and honestly thought it was a mistake, I just couldn't take it in. I can only guess what was going through her mind, but to take her life when she had a loving family and the man involved was going to stand by her, seems so wrong. Poor girl. I actually cried.
Clearly, it is just as wrong, whether a woman commits violence, or a man, or a child- the behaviour is the same, but the person isn't. In this country, for some reason, we don't worry about intention, just about consequences. And so, it would be seen as more serious for a man to attack a woman, as the consequences are likely to be far more serious.
He has since denied that she attacked him while he was asleep, so... who knows what really happened?
