Possible Stray/neglected Cat
Hi folks,
So just to give a bit of background info here... quite a few months back I noticed that a neighbour had started feeding a cat that I believed not to be his. Eventually as you can imagine it appeared more and more often. To start I saw an empty saucer on his step then saw him letting it out the door sometimes. As time went on he started ignoring it to the point it sat miaowing on step/windowsill for ages at a time. The neighbour is a druggie and barely looks like he feeds himself tbh and the cat novelty has obviously worn off. I then saw new neighbours feeding it too so it is still around. Now what has happened is it sits for a long time between the houses miaowing. Now I feel sorry for it and for the last couple of days have given it a tin of tuna. It looks a bit scruffy with no collar but wouldn’t say too skinny. My question to you is if it does have a home would a well fed and kept cat keep coming around for food? Should we keep giving it food? I hate seeing it sitting making a noise, especially some mornings in the freezing cold wind and torrential rain it’s out there at 5/6am

Cats are good at lying to humans, they are deceitful and manipulative.
It may be that this cat is a stray and it may want to live in your home. If that is okay for you and the cat you have a new friend. They are excellent company - if you don't mind being bossed around all day and generally bullied.
It may be that it has a home, but you are feeding Tuna (not a great diet but loved by cats) so it will keep coming back.
It may also be a cat with no home but is happy having no home and who is treating you and your neighbours as places to get a good feed.

My friend's brother had decided that he wanted a cat but took a while to think it through. One day he decided to do some gardening and went to his shed to get his tools.
A Cat walked out when he opened the door. It had been well over a month since the shed door was last opened.
Gizmo decided to stay and he is a lovely, confident, outgoing Cat.
She-Raaaa - is the cat now a member of your household?
