Can someone please explain to me how that creepy Gove managed to wangle a Covid test for his daughter? Over to you TTT as you think you have all the answers.
no idea, why not start another "some are more equal than others" thread. Can you confirm that you agree that gove was within the rules to go out jogging?
If you read Mushroom's link, you would know, he did not wangle a test. The Chief medical officer gave permission for her to be tested because the Government wanted him back at work
If his daughter has really been tested and received a negative result, I agree that it's OK for him to go jogging (but only after she received the result, not before)
The Chief Medical Officer, Chris Whitty, deemed it desirable to have Mr Gove tested in view of the important work that he was expected to do for Government. Good decision. Gove would have been sitting at home as impotently as Diddly and Glub, for no reason whatsoever.
The test on Mr Gove's daughter came back negative on Wednesday. Mr Gove was pictured exercising yesterday. Mr Gove is shortly to issue an apology for not personally informing, Diddly and Glub of the result immediately.
So Gove got the all clear last Wednesday that his daughter didn’t have the Coronavirus. But unlike his Cabinet Colleague, Matt Hancock, who Had the virus and was back at his post Asap, Gove instead chose not to rush back from Self isolating, milking almost another week off.
You’d have thought a Cabinet Minister, at a time when the PM is laid low, and the country is in crisis, might have showed a bit more urgency.
Can you provide a link advising that Mr Gove was not working between Wednesday and his run yesterday. Just because he did not appear on TV it does not mean he was not in his office working.
Gromit- Hancock had Covid and was allowed to return after 7 days (although I think that should be increased for all- see Boris for example). Don't know when Gove's daughter showed symptoms but if he was in the same household he's supposed to wait 14 days (or less once her test proved negative. So does that fit in with your skiving claim?
