How will you feel when lockdown is eventually eased?

Personally, I'm within the %ages that will feel uncomfortable going out, sending my child to school and using public transport.

i dont see what the problem is - i have had delivery slots every week for the last six weeks
Theres been many cases were nurses have been waiting for tests after and before work, don't understand why their not having them at the hospital they work at. I though they were a priority.

That being the case you may not see what the problem is. But I've just explained it to you and I can't really expand too much.
we have a local whatsapp group and when slots become available omeone usually pot, we have also shared slots with neighbours
NJ...at least I can say I was fortunate enough to get a Tesco slot. Due on the 11th mind you. Oh, and 2 Iceland deliveries. I've also discovered that basics and veg/meat deliveries are available from local suppliers such as dairies and online sources. Maybe you should have a look.

Perhaps they shouldn't be in work if displaying symptoms. The tests are for those nurses who are off work with suspected covid
May be they just don't like his attitude when they've delivered in the past. :0)) :0))))

A network of suppliers across the UK. Varies from area to area...I only found a supplier of fresh fish, but worth checking out.

I already have accounts with Tesco and Morrisons but each time I tried there were no slots available in the 3 weeks showing. I tried to join a virtual queue via another route but in the space of 3 hours managed to fall from something like 80000th in the queue to 111000th. Maybe it's improved now as I haven't bothered trying for the last few weeks

There's three problems with that - (1) there are no slots available for either me or my neighbours. (2) the last thing I would get involved in is whatsapp groups of any description - especially with my neighbours. (3) sharing a delivery, even if it was possible, introduces more problems with contact than it actually solves. But 2 and 3 are immaterial because of 1.

Thanks for the suggestions, pasta, but we don't have any "local suppliers" where I live and certainly none that I would trust or who would deliver. But it's no matter as I'm quite happy to go to the shops - I don't actually want my stuff delivered. It's not as if I've much else to do (apart from bottoming the kitchen). I'm sorry if it doesn't fit the government's agenda of "Stay at Home" but needs must.
See if you can get a slot in Lanzarote.
As I've explained, teacake, I don't want or need one either here or there. The only reason I investigated the possibility a few weeks ago was, because of the lunacy of the idiots who were buying anything that wasn't screwed to the floor of the supermarket, I was struggling to get the goods I needed and thought that a delivery would solve that problem. As it happens I learned that it would not have because the warehouses were as short of the goods as the shops.
See if you can get someone to slot you from Bradbury Lines, Hereford!
I've struggled a bit to get slots but have managed eventually, had a delivery on 26th April and have bagged my next one for 14th May.
That reminds me...time to look for my next slot.
The new slots were being released at midnight and were all gone by morning. As far as I can tell they are released a little bit earlier now and with the additional capacity created they remain available for slightly longer, but the optimum time for bagging a slot is still late evening or very early morning.
Do what I did yesterday - I went to Lidl at 9.30 a.m. There was no queue, hardly anyone in the store so easy to keep one's distance and the shelves were full of stock - including every kind of flour!
i will settle in quite ok i think, i sort of socially distance myself anyway, as few friends and family live miles away.
Emmie - you've just said on another thread that your brother is visiting you today. You are NOT supposed to visit or be visited by anyone from another household under lockdown. It doesn't matter if you can keep 2 metres apart, it's still not allowed so why are you doing it?
if you had actually read what i had typed, he is phoning me, he lives 70 odd miles away so won't be visiting any time soon.
