Now she’s told the British tabloids she’ll have nothing to do with them I think the best thing would be for them to ignore her completely. As Oscar Wilde said ‘There is only one thing in life worse than being talked about, and that is not being talked about.’ She’s a B-rated actress whose only real claim to fame is marrying a prince who’s decided to renege on his...

//It's not nice to use unpleasant labels for people simply because you don't like or approve of them - but if you are going to do so, at least give them the courtesy of being accurate in your name-calling.//
Correct. Had you called her an emotion vampire who was far too impressed with herself, then you would have been in the right ballpark.
Bet sp finds that something "interesting" to "think" about........... Then agrees to disagree.

That's not actually comparing like with like.
Calling the Duchess // … emotion vampire who was far too impressed with herself … // is a matter of opinion, and people may think differently.
Calling the Duchess 'trailer trash' infers that she hails from a specific socio-economic group with recognised characteristics - and because she does not fill any of the standard criteria to make her worthy of the term, it is inaccurate.

Sometimes people, in all walks of life, just can't help themselves and refuse to back down even when it's blindingly obvious to observers that the cause is lost and they're just desperately trying to find a way out with the least embarrassment.

A fair point.
The problem with being rich and famous is that all the good people around you who talked sense about what was good for you, whether you wanted to hear it or not, tend to get replaced by bad people who only talk nonsense about what may or may not be good for you, but will always only ever be what they think you want to hear.
That can only ever mean trouble ...

This is what American celebrities do. You say or do something they don't like and they will sue you for millions of dollars. If she does lose this case, she is the one who will have to pay out and I expect they still owe the British taxpayer the money that was spent on Frogmore Cottage. The reason she has been labelled 'trailer trash' is because of her family, and apart from her father who couldn't attend the wedding because of his heart, nobody else was invited except her Mum.This is when I first thought something is wrong here. A big expensive Royal wedding with only 1 family member on the brides side? The more we got to hear about her step siblings and other extended members of her family, it didn't come as a surprise why they weren't invited.
Well I read the judgement rather than the Daily Wail's sensationalist article. I don't think this has anything to do with the establishment. It seems that a lot of what is pleaded is irrelevant or vague and thus is liable to be struck out (although few people bother with this type of application and this was clearly tactical). She can of course apply to amend and make the pleadings "better". However bad pleadings are often indicative of a bad case and a client who fails to heed the advice she has paid for.
