Totally agree.
does that mean if she sets foot outside the US she can be nicked?
personally I'd tell the septics we'll swap her for Assange.

That's how I read it TTT, until someone proves that's wrong.

//An Interpol Red Notice - a request to law enforcement worldwide to locate and provisionally arrest a person pending extradition, surrender, or similar legal action - has now been issued.\\
Question Author
Yes definitely TTT. The Guardian confirms it. Pity they can't arrest her in the USA.

Trump can't protect her forever.
I’d do a swap , her for Prince Andrew
Question Author
I hope not John.
Bobbi I'll second that.

Not much interest in this topic I see but this woman infuriates me.
The BBC has said in the past hour that:
// The US has said its decision to refuse an extradition request for Harry Dunn's alleged killer was final.
It comes amid claims that US national Anne Sacoolas was "wanted internationally" after an Interpol Red notice was issued.
A US State Department spokeswoman maintained that she had diplomatic immunity from criminal jurisdiction. \\.

She did not 'Kill' the poor lad intentionally. She is not a 'killer'. It was an unfortunate accident, probably preventable yes, but an accident. She has made is so much worse for herself by absconding. If she had stayed to face the music and given a heartfelt apology to the parents, this would have all ben over and done with months ago. At the most she would have probably got a fine and banned from driving. Now she is wanted by Interpol -what a stupid woman she is.
Sort of good news. But as long as she stays in the US, she’s ‘safe’.
Yep, because the USA ignores Interpol Red Notices.
Question Author
What an example she must be to he own children.
I agree Aunt Polly, she really couldn't have made it worse for herself if she tried, or for the victim's family.
Zacs I wonder how much not being able to leave the States will affect her. I don't know enough about her to know if she regularly travelled here or anywhere else.
Perhaps a change of government might bring about a different scenario.
I see all of the above has not stopped some Americans stationed at the base driving on the wrong side of the road where Harry was killed.
It’s said she was going to come here to do a lecture later in the year ( bet that’s off now) but the audacity of the woman to even contemplate it
Yes, well time she was brought to justice. The silly woman has made it so much harder for herself now!
Question Author
Where did you see that Bobbi @ 18.26? I must have missed it but I'm surprised if she really was thinking of coming back here even without the Interpol Red Notice in place.
was on The Jeremy Vine show this morning I normally turn it off as he's not as good as Mathew Wright but I was doing something and they were discussing it with young Harry's Mum Charlotte
I can't find a link . sorry but it was defintley said
//If she had stayed to face the music and given a heartfelt apology to the parents, this would have all ben over and done with months ago. At the most she would have probably got a fine and banned from driving.//

Or possibly not.

She is wanted on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. This is a "serious offence" for the purposes of s.224 Criminal Justice Act 2003 and the maximum sentence is 14 years' custody. Even for the least serious example of the offence the sentencing guidelines suggest a "Starting Point" of 3 years with a "Range" of 2 to 5 years. If convicted of that offence a fine would not be a consideration and custody all but inevitable.

Even if convicted of the alternative, lesser offence of causing death by careless driving, this carries a maximum sentence of 5 years. The starting point for the least serious example ("Careless or inconsiderate driving arising from momentary inattention with no aggravating factors") is a community order and custody a consideration for any case more serious. A fine for that offence would also not be considered.

She would definitely be banned for the more serious offence (minimum 2 years) and almost certainly for the lesser offence.
