Our daughter has hitherto refused to meet my husband and me together because "It's against the rules". She is now incandescent with rage about Cummings and is now prepared to bend the rules. is this the effect that DC and Boris want?

Naomi, I've said it numerous times, if an apology is forthcoming from Cummings, then he'd see public opinion slowly drift away from having his head on a pike.
Sure, there will still be some calling for hos resignation, but that's of a result of his arrogance in not apologising sooner. That is just something he and Boris will have to put up with for the time being, but it will pass in time. Anyone still protesting after that is a political chancer, or a desperate leftist.

foo dat funny dat ! - well a few of them (incandescents) around - and I dont blame them. BUT quite a few are isolating because they dont want to get it or give it to old relatives rather than they are following rules.
track and isolate is only one generation or step - first degree contacts and NOT their contacts - otherwise being able to multiply I could easily see that the whole country wuld be back self isolating
