...seeing as there's been so much talk about Trump today, I would like to ask - do you think he might have mental health issue?

Hear me out.

He was being interviewed on Fox TV a couple of weeks ago. He was asked, themhost Ainsley Earhard:

//This Sunday is Mother's Day. What are your plans? What are you gonna do for Melania and do you have a message for all the moms that are watching this morning?//

He responded:

//Well, we'll be together. I'm going to a Camp David meeting — a big meeting with the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Camp David is this very special place that nobody ever gets to see but it's a great work environment. And we're going to have meetings on different things.
And we're going to have meetings on different things, and our military has never looked better. It's never been better. We've never had the kind of equipment that we have now.
And we had planes that were 50 years old, and more. Fighter jets — now we have the best in the world, the F-35 and the F-18, and you know, what we have is incredible.
The equipment and the people we have are great, but you know, they have to have equipment.//

//And we spent $1.5 trillion — really, more than that. And we've totally rebuilt our military, which you have to do. You know, I'm a very budget-conscious person. But you have to do.
The nice thing is — it's all built in the USA. And plenty of equipment coming. Lot of this equipment is coming. So it's very important that we have the best military and we have the... our military has never been in condition like it is now and soon will be."//

Whatever you think of Trump - had this been a relative of yours, wouldn't you be concerned?

Anyone who wants accuse me of bashing Trump - you're right, but I 100% think that this is completely bash-able. If you think this is a valid response to such a question...

...why?

True...but Trump was born into money. The other two were self-made.

david small - some people is consistently wrong about Trump. It's entertaining watching them twist themselves into knots trying to defend him.

I imagine they must end each evening looking like a pretzels in slingbacks.
Even accounting for inflation, he wasn’t born into the wealth he has now amassed SP; no matter how the spin is spun, Trump is successful and has enormous business acumen. This game is completely undeniable.
“This game is completely undeniable”

I hate predicative text with a passion - if I was clever enough I’d turn it off.

‘Game’ wasn’t meant to be in that sentence.

Sometimes predictive text is your personal Jiminy Cricket - it makes you say the truth, even when you don't intend to!!
// do you think he might have mental health issue? //

Let's put it this way, he behaves and speaks as if he does.
Too right, Tomus.

I can barely bring myself to watch the man. He makes my skin crawl.

DD - maybe he just employed the right people at the right time.
He's mad, bad, and for former allies in Syria, dangerous to know.
I note that some people on this thread seem to be looking for signs of dementia (possibly due to Alzheimer's Disease, although there are other causes) in Trump's behaviour and outpourings. However dementia, whatever it's cause, is something that has a gradual onset.

I view it as far more likely that DT has ALWAYS had a personality disorder (i.e. from birth) but it's only now, with so much media scrutiny of the way that his mind seems to work, that it's become particularly noticeable to many people. (I suspect though that many people who've had business dealings with him in the past could also provide evidence of such a personality disorder).

Emperors new clothes syndrome sp. They're so magically gossamer thin and marvellously crafted you'd have to be a fool not to see them.

sp, // Also - his business prowess.

Not great. //

Go learn about the way business works.
Businesses exist to make money, Naomi, and overall that's what DT's businesses seem to have been quite good at.

Even people like Richard Branson have had quite a few failures in their business careers, so you can't simply point to those enterprises of Trump's that have gone bust to suggest that he's a lousy businessman.
Don't tell me Chris - I know. Tell SP.
When your business fails you declare bankruptcy to avoid paying tax, everyone knows that. The other way of course is to make sure your business doesn't fail which is admittedly a bit harder, but plenty of people have done it.
Yup, sorry, Naomi. That was wrongly directed.

You shouldn't really blame me though; I'm simply not used to actually defending Trump ;-)
:o)
Like most politicians they answer the question they want, rather than the one asked. It's not unusual (as Tom Jones might say).
