This Isn't A Protest
it's a riot.Somebody throws a bike in the direction of a police horse, the horse bolts, the policewoman is thrown off the horse and the crowds cheer. The riot police should all be out if this continues and more people arrested. The protests should be stopped, now.

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.Clearly the horse is a more noble and courageous animal that the scum that attacked it with a bicycle. Peaceful demonstratotrs my a#$e.Desecrating a war memorial unforgiveable. For what ends?. They have no support or empathy for their cause from me.These people are anarchists nothing less. I do hope the injuries sustained by the 'peaceful' protester when the terrified horse bolted and careered into it was none too trivial. If the people who died to defend free speech and right to peaceful protest had failed after sacrificing their lives we would be living under the jackboot and most of their forefathers would of ended up as ashes going up a chimney. This scum desecrate a sacred tomb. They are inhuman.Boris for God's sake break out the baton rounds and tear gas but never let this disgusting organisation be allowed on the streets again. They have forfeited the right to make their protest peacefully. They are lawless and should be proscribed organisation just like the BDL from now on.
I absolutely agree that the people who threw or pushed a bike at a horse deserve nothing but contempt and I hope that they are identified and charged. I don't agree that using them to judge everybody else protesting on the streets, or some vague suggestion of opening fire and the like, is a remotely appropriate response.

You seem to have a whale of a time manipulating covid statistics. These people are cocking a snoot to the law before they start their criminal enterprise of assaults and criminal damage. They are given the god given right for peaceful protest and free speech in this democratic country. They are abusing that privelege that people in Hongkong and other countries do not enjoy. Because of this mass display of selfishness you may have more covid statistics that will send your scientific calculator in to meltdown.
And these people complain that they are targeted by police here and in the U.S. and wonder why. There is your answer. They have total contempt for the law and authority and court controversy. They deserve everytrhing coming to them.

Allow the peaceful protesters to protest peacefully; identify the not-peaceful and arrest them as appropriate. Riots get out of hand when one side or the other stops caring about proper behaviour.
Also, the best way to stop any protest is to take its concerns seriously and address them if possible. Despite the comforting stories many like to tell about the progress we've made there's still loads to be done to address systemic racism and inequality. Be honest about those problems and try to do something about them.
