"I've got a gazillion friends" - yeah well see how many will drive 200miles on a winters night to get you out of the tish, yep as I thought, back down to the figures of one hand!
Mozz: "Media report on what they think will sell most papers or attract the most viewers. " - well I normally have news 24 on as default but not watched it for days, every time I turn on it's Floydgate. I wonder how many are turning off too. I'm I the only one who finds the broken record approach annoying?
Yes, I know what you mean and that is why I find it is an advantage to additionally pay attention to foreign media. Many, but not all, UK media might be described your way and that is presumably why the UK does so badly in press freedom comparisons (the flow of information, objectivity, insight, debate, challenge, etc.).

jim: "endemic racism in society " - did you see my post about things like "advancing black management" - etc, I'd get fired for even suggesting the white version. In the UK the "racism" these days is mainly against whites, it's gone full circle. You can have Black ...anything but dare to even suggest White ...anything and you'll be on the 10 o'clock news.
