He also referred to Palestinians as “barbaric hordes who ate little but camel dung”.
A known supporter of eugenics, he approved of the separation of “feeble-minded” people, alongside being intrigued by the idea of sterilisation, to halt the breeding of “unfit” people posing “a very terrible danger to the race”.

//Sir Keir Starmer has said the toppling of a slave trader statue during Black Lives Matter protests in Bristol was 'completely wrong' - but adds the statue should have been removed some time ago;//
Talking about stating the bleedin obvious. As a trained lawyer has he heard of the Criminal Damage Act?
If Police Chiefs are too afraid to arrest at the time because of lack of officers etc and other excuses then they should reprise their Public Order Tactics and insist on water cannon and baton rounds to clear the criminals off the streets and demand the current Home Secretary gives permission to use them as necessary. Our Prime Minister was quick to buy water cannon when he was London Mayor why does he not get them now?

What do you have to say about Mahatma Ghandi. He has a statue in London. He opposed British Rule in India but helped win them their Independence. We showed no hatred to him. His statue was left untouched during the vandalism over the weekend.
Here is what an Indian statesmen said,"the typical African is one degree removed from the animal".
I love your left wing anti-British selective quotes. There usually is a good counter if you look.

The guy should be easy to recognise, mask or no mask, as he is also the one on the left in the photo of the two standing on the plinth.
As for water cannon, et al, not all protestors are rioters. even government ministers recognise that the vandals are a very small percentage of those present. What you appear to be advocating is that peaceful protestors are also blasted by jets of water as they exercise their rights.

it doesn't matter whether they're selective or not, retro. Either he said racist things or he didn't. The fact that others said racist things is pure whataboutery.
When concentration camps were built in South Africa, for white Boers, he said they produced “the minimum of suffering”. The death toll was almost 28,000, and when at least 115,000 black Africans were likewise swept into British camps, where 14,000 died, he wrote only of his “irritation that Kaffirs should be allowed to fire on white men”.
When the Kurds rebelled against British rule, he said: “I am strongly in favour of using poisoned gas against uncivilised tribes...[It] would spread a lively terror.”
Imagine if Hitler said that about Brits!
