I hope that they run this by BLM etc., remember their's is the defining opinion on everything at the moment, mustn't upset their delicate sensibilities.
Not one for statues myself, they tend to be rather ugly representations of the person they are supposed to portray. I wouldnt object to it like I wouldnt object to most statues.

Dame Vera Lynn didn't change the course of history but she made a great contribution to the war effort by entertaining the troops and bringing moral to them. I think she should be commemorated in some way and if this is in the way of a statue, why not have it in the place she was born and died? East Sussex.
