Saw a few people on buses today without face masks. Nothing done about it. And nothing will be done in shops either. Another Boris Bumble.

In Brighton by the way.
Thy would likely have one of the reasons for exemption, either real or imagined - nothing can be done about it really.

The compulsory wearing doesn't start until tomorrow assuming you are in England.
As the sign on my bus shelter says. 'Wear a mask if you can. Be considerate - some conditions and illnesses are not visible, so respect others.'

meant to add, even then there will be exemptions.
There's been a bit of a rumble on this subject where I live (Near Middlesbrough). The drivers are saying that there's nothing they can do to enforce it - you don't have to have any sort of exemption notice from a GP.
>>> The compulsory wearing doesn't start until tomorrow assuming you are in England

It only becomes compulsory in shops tomorrow but it's been compulsory on public transport in England since 15 June, Baldric!

Some bus companies are inviting those who're exempt from the requirement to wear face coverings to download and print out cards that can be shown to their drivers. e.g. https://www.firstgroup.com/uploads/node_images/face-covering-exemption-extra-help-travel-assistance-card-12-06-20.pdf
On the bus for the first time 2 days ago, I saw mums with babes in pushchairs who were not wearing masks. I assume it was because they had very young children.
Let's be realistic, the wearing of masks or face coverings on buses, trains, or in stores might be mandatory, but how many employees on these buses, trains, and stores, are going to put themselves at risk of physical and verbal abuse by attempting to enforce the "law"?
And, by the way, smurfchops, why are you blaming your PM for the fact that many people will refuse to wear some type of face covering?
I'm still not convinced about the case for face masks but now they are required/expected in certain environments I'm happy to go along with it and wish everyone else would too. We do seem to have more than our fair share of people in this country who object on principle or look for excuses to *** off the government/establishment/Boris/Matt, whereas in other countries they generally just get on with it. I know two families who have holiday homes in Spain and they can't believe how lax we are here about masks, social distancing, following arrows in shops
My filtered out word means criticise (or stony waste matter separated from metals during the smelting or refining of ore)
I'm not convinced about masks either but as it's the current trend across the world and mainly driven by the terror of the general populus I have no idea why you use this to have a go at Boris. In reality what do you expect people to do? Every shopworker, transport staff etc to start tackling those not wearing one? Tackling them with what? Strong words, sticks and stones?
I can honestly not blame the bus drivers ,it's not their job to enforce the rule and take abuse, likewise in shops etc, we have to wear a mask if we go either to the Metro Centre or Eldon Square in the Malls as well as the shops, but how you find Boris responsible for the folly of others smurfchops, beats me !
Perfectly OK to have another go at Boris for another of his U-turns.
Corbyn would have had us all in balaclavas with a Kalashnikov rifle slung over our shoulder,
( breathes sigh of relief we have Boris )
Diddly //Perfectly OK to have another go at Boris for another of his U-turns.//
Why is it so difficult for you to understand that Boris makes his decisions following advice from the scientists?
The mistake Boris makes is taking advice from experts rather than taking it from diddly.
Danny - but he doesn't always take the advice of his scientists - they advised lockdown a week earlier but he didn't do it.
