Not affected, but I am annoyed by this. As I wrote on Naomi's thread, unless hospital admissions or deaths have increased alarmingly (which doesn't appear to be happening), then why are people being "locked up" in their homes again? An increase in positive Covid tests doesn't necessarily mean more people are infected just that more are known about. The...

Oh dear, how sad, never mind. I trust Hancock doesn't do it for fun, so one has to go with the flow. That said, I suspect they're overcompensating because with hindsight they've been criticised for being late applying restrictions so far.
Thing is, we know we have the virus for the foreseeable future, we surely aren't going to tolerate restrictions for evermore, and as the peak infection figure has already proved manageable, there is a strong argument for just seeing how things go and getting back to normality quickly. It's just a case of waiting for the majority to stop slavishly approving of more restrictions & demands, and obeying them; and instead switching to demanding removal of such impositions. Unsure how long that'll take. (They could start by removing this oppressive face covering rule today.)

That'd be why the Labour MP apologised.
Told you before Gromit, I don't tell lies, I'm not a leftie.
Who cares how many mourners were, allegedly, there when the police turned up? Maybe you'd like to check how many were left at midnight.
Every paper in the country said there were 100 mourners. I'll take that over a gromit 'fact' any day of the week.
Sometimes it's better to admit you haven't got a clue what you're talking about.

I dont wish to pick - but isnt this the thread where I exressed my arabic sentiments ( and a lot of muslims are arab and even more read a book in arabic ) and was told sharpish to keep to the point?
ho hum only on AB - anyway - no I dont think they will go on celebrating as they can see that the likely victims will be the elderly relations.
and no I dont think you can afford to wait for an intensive care spike as you have a delay of 14 d.
