It seems intercepted here generally means 'escorted to safety on English soil'. I hope the Commons Committee can find out why so many want to flee from safety in France and can find a solution which doesn't mean us taking most of them in and encouraging even more to try. If the migrants are hoping to escape the Covid spike in France they may be disappointed.

We have always been told that we cant not give them the benefits becasue of the EU. I'd like to know the reason now because the silence is deafening. There is also an issue with Bliars HRA created to fund his Missus - that needs amending to stop the pond life briefs spending years appealing using public money.
What we should do is put them into internment camps, removing the children to better accommodation while their case is assesed. If found to be an illegal migrant rather than an asylum seeker then they should be removed immediately and appeal from the country they came from (or France). For those we dont know where they came from they need to remain in the internment camps.
News would soon spread the UK is no longer the land of Milk and Honey.

FF: //" Labour's shadow home secretary Nick Thomas-Symonds said the government suffered from a "lack of competence" over migrant crossing. He said the crisis was "deeply concerning".
He is right, but seemed to stop short of suggesting a solution. // - they have a solution alright, let the lot in, no questions asked!

we should stop confusing the HRA with actual Human Rights, it's function is to provide Cherie Blair and her buddies with a rich stream of income, it has nothing to do with actual human rights, the human rights we already gave and received before the "human rights" were much better. Now we have criminal scum demanding their kasi faces the right way!
