how was this not picked up sooner, and why does she not have to give the money back..no fines either...this sends a signal, nothing will really happen, no prison, no return of public funds.

'Her uncle claimed Disability Living Allowance between November 2018 and October 2018 and Employment Support Allowance between October 2010 and October 2018. The defendant became his appointee in July 2012. 'She got the credit into her bank account, but he was out of the country between November 2012 and October 2013 and again between October 2015 and June 2016 and June 2016 and December 2017. The defendant failed to report the change and the overpayment was £32,074.52.
Unbelievable......this mush had £32k+ paid to him for in a 3 year period that he wasn't even in the country. Plus the loot he had when he was. Besides this there was her Mother and Father both being "paid" whilst they were out of the country for a grand sum of £95k in all. Remember this money is in addition to what she was receiving, which must be gawd knows how much, and the money that the other 3 received legally if not legitimately. No wonder we are skint ant cannot look after our own. Here's a laugh....when they were out of the country were they benefiting from our aid package to their homelands? Perhaps they were overseeing a nice big luxury home being built, they deserve it ya see. We must be mad.

Is 'geddit' the new word?
Strange how they all lack "life skills" but are accomplished liars and thieves. Innit?
Welcome to merry England.
We are the biggest mugs in the world, arent we.No wonder there are thousands risking their lives to get here. They think the streets are made of gold, and discover it is true when they get here.
well -- - - no new posts/ideas here then !

but welcome back to all the usual suspects
//Is 'geddit' the new word?//
catch phrase from Private Eye - about 50y old - much used in the Glenda sligg column
and used in the style

That Boris Morris a=moiling and a-toiling at no 10 - hey Boris you should ged oudda the bedroom! (geddit ????)

the implication being that B is moiling in the bedroom and would do better for the country if he moiled in the cabinet room.
( moil clearly used with two meanings - - geddit?????) - just in case one wag observes - that Boris - good for him - he can moil anywhere and does!

// They think the streets are made of gold, and discover it is true when they get here.//

I assure you - sitting there blaaarting about benefit fraud on AB and actually doing it and getting caught are two completely different things

and yes like you I would do the first
Yes,PP.We only know about the ones that are caught.Must be thousands all scamming the system.(Allegedly also including the geezer involved in the Manchester bombing).
The oddest thing is that all the TrueFacs (a play on the local neologism LibFac) really, truly believe, that there are thousands, maybe tens of thousands, of Damned Foreigners roaming our green and pleasant land doing us all out of millions of our hard-earned.

Of course it's heinous, of course they should get their bits cut off and sent back, and all the rest of it.... but

Are they all so blind that they can't see the billions being trousered every day by the bandits in the City of London, happily milking our economy of everything they can wring out of it - with no comebacks! Even if they're 'caught', what do they get? Knighthoods.

A

It's interesting that so many seem to want to attack us rather than the outrage that is being perpetrated. It's almost as if they want it to happen..........hang on!
"Are they all so blind that they can't see the billions being trousered every day by the bandits in the City of London" - ah finally we see the true motivation of the Libfacs! No one must ever be prosperous, oooh, except us! lefty Illogic is wonderful isn't it?!

Whats the weather like just now over in St.Petersburg,Allen?...or do you operate out of Shanghai?
Saaba Mahmood was undoubtedly treated quite leniently especially as the amounts are so large,I can only assume a balance was made against the potential child care cost of eight children and a sick husband.
Does it actually say that she will not have to repay the amount overpaid?

The punishment for her crime was the suspended sentence. Normally a person has also to repay the sum overpaid.
She will face a Proceeds of Crime Act hearing in November.

Maybe more to follow on that Wolf.
Not unexpected, here come the Ad Hominem thrusts.

Always a sign that your 'opponent' (opponent?) has run out of anything intelligent to say...

Allen, from London (as my name here implies, in fact states).

mamy - I think that I have been away from that type of work for too long. My last job was calculating overpayments of benefit.
Of course she knew it was a crime, she's even wearing a disguise.
Ho-hum.Allen from London, and now doing his masters(i.e.Putin)work for him, either in London or the old Leningrad.Ho-hum.Not convinced.
