No 10 , Rubbishes a claim made by Dominic Cummings, Father in law, that Boris Johnson will Quit within the next six months. "Sir Humphry Wakefield" . ( FIL ) . Says he expects Boris to step down, because of lingering health effects from when he was hospitalised earlier this year . If It's true , Who can take over ?.
Worth remembering that we had an election two years early in December 2019 because Corbyn agreed to it.
His legacy is an 80 seat majority Conservative Government. Cheers Jezza.
As i said,Gromit,The Labour Party elected a terrorist apologist elohssa(anagram)as a leader.Time Starmer grew a set and expelled this cancer and his followers from the Labour Party.
He could hardly refuse.
The reason the Tories have an 80 seat majority is because of what Corbyn did in 2015 - become leader - not what he did in 2019.
It also didn't help that the SNP and Lib Dems wanted an election. I could see why the SNP did, although why the Lib Dems and Labour did is beyond me. It was obvious what game Johnson was playing, and it was obvious that he was going to win it handily.
I'm convinced that it was one big ego trip with Boris, even now he seems to have one big grin on his face most of the time, I just don't think he takes anything seriously. Even though I voted for him, I really don't think he's up to the job, even without the virus.
Boris is and always has been a 'good time boy'. He seems to have done a decent job as mayor but nothing major went wrong and a few things went very right. I think he has realised he's out of his depth, what with Covid and the up coming Brexit. He's also realised his bumbling cross between Hugh Grant, Columbo and Churchill persona is not what the British Public want.
I will be surprised if Boris is still PM in 5 years' time. That's not to say the Tories won't be in power but I can see knives being drawn either before or after the next election.
Think once Brexit really kicks in next year .The people who voted out will blame Boris for their mistake, and realise they fell for his lies. Then Bye Bye Boris Goobye.
There had to be an election, whether cetain parties wanted it or not.
Once Johnson got his deal - unexpectedly - by simply reversing the govt's position on the Irish border, then that changed everything.
Boris is still Yearning for the lost Greatness of Britain . If he could bring back
"The British Empire" and be the leader ,he would be a very happy man and probably change his name to Winston.
