I think the measures adopted to combat Covid have been way way over the top, and even more so now given the tiny risk, but why on earth would these people think it's a hoax? What end do they think will be achieved by pretty much every country in the world being a part of the hoax?
I assume these are the same clowns who think the moon landing was faked and the Twin Towers was the work of the CIA.

It has become an excuse to remove our freedoms one by one to see how far we can be controlled. Things like the enforced mask (face covering for the pedantic) which are in reality absolutely pointless show this.
Not often I'll side with a Corbyn but on this I have to say I agree with his right to protest.

W H O advise on mask wearing
“Masks should be used as part of a comprehensive strategy of measures to suppress transmission and save lives; the use of a mask alone is not sufficient to provide an adequate level of protection against COVID-19. You should also maintain a minimum physical distance of at least 1 metre from others, frequently clean your hands and avoid touching your face and mask.
Medical masks can protect people wearing the mask from getting infected, as well as can prevent those who have symptoms from spreading them. WHO recommends the following groups use medical masks.
“Non-medical, fabric masks are being used by many people in public areas, but there has been limited evidence on their effectiveness and WHO does not recommend their widespread use among the public for control of COVID-19. However, for areas of widespread transmission, with limited capacity for implementing control measures and especially in settings where physical distancing of at least 1 metre is not possible – such as on public transport, in shops or in other confined or crowded environments – WHO advises governments to encourage the general public to use non-medical fabric masks.“

I agree with the sentiments expressed by youngmafbog as to the response to the virus being the 'hoax'. The incompetence of the politicians around the world has been highlighted by their over-the-top reactions to this situation. Nevertheless, as a matter of principle, there can be conditions where society would have to give up some 'freedoms' for the sake of public health, which is the safety of society as a whole.
As an example, had this virus been as lethal as Ebola was in Africa, with 50% of cases being fatal, it wouldn't be unreasonable to declare Martial Law in order to control transmission.
Fortunately, Covid-19 isn't like Ebola, although many administrations around the world initially reacted almost as if it were. Now, especially in the UK, but also elsewhere, they're still over-reacting, despite the facts that the death rate and hospital admissions rate are well under control. If Bojo wants the country to get back to work, he should immediately remove the ridiculous quarantine rules which are not only hitting the travel industries but also interfering with the country's ability to do business.

You (As can anyone) can believe who/what you want, But persons are posting WHO are saying this or that without any link to back up what they are saying. I thought it is important to post A link to what they are actually saying

Just putting it out there.
I think we should all (except the vulnerable) just get on with life. But I will wear a mask in shops and not complain because I’m not a sociopath.

This looks the real deal, I'm convinced.

There is no reason anyone would fabricate this, it was on the news too from a reporter.
