Labour have existed for 120 years, they've had 5 prime minsters and only 3 have won a general election. (Tory lite Tony doesn't count). So with that appalling record who actually supports them?

I don’t think you can count Tony Blair, because he appealed to many of the right of centre and obtained many of their votes. He was an attractive alternative. He spoilt it by entering into an illegal war, but prior to that he was an attractive alternative for disaffected right of centre traditional Tory voters. So to describe him as Labour (the Labour that...

I support their principle of prioritising the rights of the citizens above the rights of individuals who want to just use them for their own benefit. It's the other baggage they insist on getting involved with that has made them difficult to elect.
High-handed merchant banker denies existence of politician.
You aren’t counting Tony Blair?
"only 3 have won a general election. (Tory lite Tony doesn't count)."

Only in your own wee world...
Thats what I like about TTT, he makes it up as he goes along
I don’t think you can count Tony Blair, because he appealed to many of the right of centre and obtained many of their votes. He was an attractive alternative. He spoilt it by entering into an illegal war, but prior to that he was an attractive alternative for disaffected right of centre traditional Tory voters.

So to describe him as Labour (the Labour that bewildered socialists crave) is wrong, and therefore TTT’s question is valid.

The previous Labour leader was an absolute car crash and completely unelectable, and whilst I held out hope that SKS could provide a credible alternative, so far he’s been utterly underwhelming.
Is there a list of UK PMs and their parties showing "Tony Blair Labour*" anywhere?
The question was actually nothing to do with Tony Blair and has no answer.

Not including him as a Labour PM is - um - daft though
Tony Blair, Prime Minister.
First Term 1997-2001.
Second Term 2001-2005
Third Term 2005 -2007
But it didn't Happen because TTT was wearing his Blinkers for 10 years.

Jeremy Corbyn probably is one of the best PMs Britain never had.
But not in the sense he might like to think ;-)
Surely that accolade would have to go to John Smith.
Although we’ll never know I think John Smith could have been.Although Denis Healey was probably the best Labour Prime Minister we never had.
When TTT attended the Tory School of Radicalisation they certainly did a good job on him . He probably won the Student of the year shield.
I think you’re right grumpy - John Smith struck me as a thoroughly decent bloke who would have made a good fist of it but died too early.

Ich is correct in describing Blair as a Labour PM, but only insofar as he stood as Labour, but it’s incorrect to describe Blair as a ‘proper’ Labour PM.

For a start he admired Thatcher, and whilst it’s true she was our best PM since the war, ‘proper’ Labour people hate her even now; it’s nuts and wrong to do so, but they still do.
"Ich is correct in describing Blair as a Labour PM"

It takes practice to be this good.
I thank you all :-)
If the Labour Party didnt have an anti-semitic ,terrorist loving muppet in charge at the last election Labour would have won the election. It would have been a bit of a poisoned chalice for them this year however.
As the PM who created the most strife and division in the country, and whose actions removed power from the people and set a whole new, poor, outlook that survives to this day, it can't possibly be nuts nor wrong to not like Margaret Thatcher. It's unclear when, if ever, the nation will recover from that period and the masses no longer be controlled to the level they have been ever since. In fact things are gradually getting worse.
Ahh,good old Maggie.Voted into power by the SNP.The Tartan Tories.
