Wilson said "Whoever took the picture didn't approach me or say anything to me which I suppose would have been the proper way to behave." *** Inserts rolling on floor, crying with laughter emoji *** Durrr. There's a Coronavirus outbreak hitchhiking itself around the world. You're not wearing a mask and you're on the Tube - people DO NOT speak to strangers on...

Tony//they are a bit useless anyway//
See link at 08.50
Viruses do not produce spores tony, I think you mean the virus itself is much smaller than the holes. Yes, that is well known but we still seem to be hysterical about masks. Curious.
TTT, as has been repeated ad nauseam, masks only protect other people, not the wearer.
Yes Danny but our doctors insist on you wearing one.
That isn’t true anyway.
Otherwise why would medical staff wear them when treating Covid patients
Tony, see post at 09.09
Yes TTT my error.
The other day I was watching a reporter doing a piece to camera in a damp atmosphere; you could clearly see her breath and just how far it projected forwards. It's blatantly obvious that a mask would deflect the breath and the virus carried with it. Even if the mask doesn't contain the virus it will, at least, reduce the distance it travels.
It isn’t true that masks are supposed only to protect other people from the wearer - although the supposed benefit is assessed largely to be the other way.
But the law here doesn’t even say you have to wear a mask.
However just to repeat that that isn’t what Mr Wilson was complaining about
It doesn't really matter whether or not we believe face coverings have any real effect on warding off the virus. What matters is that our elected MPs have told us we MUST wear them in certain areas. Then those same MPs are caught not doing so. Then complain about having been caught!
Ich, in order to protect a wearer the mask would have to have a perfect seal with the skin, which it obviously does not have.

Answer Wilson said "Whoever took the picture didn't approach me or say anything to me which I suppose would have been the proper way to behave.“

He’s quite right

Answer Wilson said "Whoever took the picture didn't approach me or say anything to me which I suppose would have been the proper way to behave.“
The proper way to behave is to set an example and wear the b****y mask.
If it was proven that masks only protected people FROM the wearer then people who have had the virus and are not infectious wouldn’t need to wear them.
Similarly people who were immune would not need protecting. In theory.
But that never gets mentioned. It’s plainly the case that they seem to be more effective for breathing out than breathing in but the truth is no one knows for sure, especially as masks differ so much
“ The proper way to behave is to set an example and wear the b****y mask. ”

Which he has admitted
the medical masks are different they have the right mesh/filter etc. Most of the masks the public use are like trying to store water in a colander.
ich //who have had the virus and are not infectious wouldn’t need to wear them.//
There is no evidence that a person cannot contract the virus more than once.
“ What matters is that our elected MPs have told us we MUST wear them in certain areas”

No they haven’t by the way.
Just to repeat myself
It’s the government that’s done that
"Divvy toddler statement of the day (and its only 9am - a record!)"

From someone who joined September 16 2020. Hmmmm
