Covid Personal Space
Was in a shop and a woman asked another shopper if she felt she was getting too close to her.
Polite I Thought. Well the other shopper said Yes - she preferred more distance as felt unsafe (it wasn't the 2m or even the 1m distance). Well the lady who initially did the asking raised her eyebrows to me as if to say how silly.... well 2 things came to mind... 1) what's the point of asking someone if you're too close if you think its stupid yourself. 2) we should bear in mind that other people may have good reason to keep distances (eg perhaps this woman had a relative with low immunity, cancer etc etc)

Do you know I got a whole disciplinary all to myself over that?
I was telling my employer they were breaking the law (X) and it would cost them lots ( beneficent duty of the employee) (eventually £250k)
and threw in as I paused for breath
"are you feeling harassed?"
expecting - " no of course not for chrissakes, you are talking about a lot of money wh it is our duty to minimise, let us talk"
and got
" yes I am actually ....."
which I regret was enthusiastically investigated long time
and they didnt do diddly squat about X wh cost them £250k
[They actually said no one does X - we dont believe you]

the newsier bit of course IS....
president Trump proceeds at 3 mph with a car full of gooks
so we can take that as an infection event and see who gets what over the next 7 days
(Doctors horrified - and presumably cant wait to get a non compliant patient home)
so some good DOES come out of such an event
oh by the way - he looks as tho he is being over treated [that president that is!- or we are being fed fake nooze. Use of steroids in someone not oxygen dependent - does no good and has the usual side effects
