How many times in the past has someone said to you and others, "I'll cancel that visit to yours. I've got a cold and don't want anyone to pass it on"? People have said that loads of times haven't they? They didn't need to be "socially distancing". They used common sense. And that's what should be happening now. Remove all restrictions , get back to "normal", and...

Peter Pedant, //can this be the same person who was castigating olds for their "I'm all right Jack" selfish attitude - - a few days ago ?
I think we should be told//
Yes, it is the same person … but you missed a bit. I said some pensioners and some people who have guaranteed incomes. There you are. You’ve been told.
I’ve posted on quite a few threads today, PP, so have a good look round. You know how you'd hate to miss the opportunity to pick holes in anything I say - not to mention misrepresent me.

//We can cocoon vulnerable people indoors forever. //
I take it you mean we can't cocoon vulnerable old people indoors forever.
No we can't. So what's the alternative? Cocoon everybody indoors forever? The people who should avoid public transport are the vulnerable (if, having weighed up the risk, they choose to). Not everybody else. Some people may die if they eat a peanut. But you don't ban the sale of peanuts in case they do. Think what that would do to the peanut business.

10Claridgest- corona vax, its not going to be compulsry you know just as flue vax isnt compulsry.
Torra- you say the experts as if there all saying it but there not , infact few are. Itd be odd actualy if everyone thought exacly the same when its such a new virus with so many deaths and hospital case's. Anyhow some of these '"experts" they trot out on youtube video's are nothing of the sort.
But and its a big but (a cannot lie) a agree the main protection as to be for the old and vunerable first, we need to keep school's open and workplaces like shops (mine) and factory's where we can. But aswell we after stop younger fitter one's getting it and passing it to older peopel so we cant just go back to the old ways for anyone who wants to

er..no. It's called an analogy.
//But aswell we after stop younger fitter one's getting it and passing it to older peopel so we cant just go back to the old ways for anyone who wants to//
And how do you propose that is done? Keep the old locked up, keep the young locked up, or keep them both locked up?

Remove all restrictions, get back to "normal", and everyone use common sense. Whatever actions this government takes, in the end, we're all going to have to live this with this virus. You/me/they won't control it. It's here. Live with it people.
