By definition, cartoons mock and lampoon, that is their purpose.

Apparently the magazine in question has a more frequent and possibly more direct pop at Christianity in a similar way, but as we know, Christianity does not seem to breed the sort of psychopathic behaviour that Islamist extremists seem to feel necessary to advertise their displeasure.
