Panic buying where I am.

I’ve just been into Sainsbury’s and also Argos.

No busier than normal.

The Daily Mail likes to show pictures of Costco as evidence of panic buying. Costco is essentally wholesale and you can buy very little in small quantities, so anybody buying, say, toilet rolls will have a very large pack in their trolley. We occasionally shop at Makro, a simliar organisation, so always buy bog-rolls 96 at a time because the 48-roll packs are usually on BOGOF.

I saw lots of pics yesterday of people with trolley loads of loo roll again - call me cynical but I reckon they are lowlifes hoping to make a buck by selling it on rather than they have extensive bowel needs.

Sainsbury's online shopping crashed yesterday as Boris's plans were leaked. Took me 3 hours to get on and book a click and collect for next Friday. Daughter went to Tesco yesterday and it was very busy.

Plenty of stock on Asda online, but delivery slots have disappeared rapidly.

Teacake -remember the war? I wasn't born but there were low life's who bought up stuff and sold it on the Black Market -read 2020 Ebay.
People will be buying up toilet rolls ,pasta and anti bac spray like they did last time and there will be idiots that buy it on line for 10 x the price. . Also the people who know the lowlifes will be buying up stuff are going shopping now to get in there first.

But why, I haven't seen anywhere that says there's a shortage of anything that we require, neither have I seen anywhere that says supermarkets are closing their door's. During the war years most shops had more or less empty shelves, and incoming goods/ food was hit and miss.??
