I suppose utter madness we should now take for granted from this so-called government.
not only those two very good answers but also to be able to have a bit more freedom over christmas. To avoid the R going well above 1 caused by people getting together, as much headroom as possible is needed beforehand....so you make massive effort before christmas so when (not if) the infection by number rate climbs, there will be space for that without the infection growth rate (R number) booming out of control.

Diddly, while I don't agree with everything this government has done, and when.... which other do you imagine would have done any better, and kept everyone happy all the time?
I don't think it has much to do with which party... any government would need to be "seen" to be doing the right thing, and not suggesting they don't care about lives. Who would have been better? And how?
