brainiac: "He's done rather well, considering he's lived in tax havens (Switzerland and Monaco) for the last thirteen years. " - they are not tax havens, they have a lot of tax.
jno: "You can't expect the government to object to tax havens; they'd like Britain to be one. " - we should definately abolish income tax, it was only temporary anyway, raises a small amount of revenue, net, costs a fortune to administer and collect. It's mostly paid by the poor. It's only really there as a sop to the left who love to tax the poor.
TTT,//They are not tax havens, they have a lot of tax./ But does a UK national eho doesn't work there pay tax? I doubt it as if they did then Hamilton would not have moved to Monaco(which is classed as a tax haven)
Some interesting ones further down the list, I agree with some that the British Empire aspect should change now we haven't got an empire. Maybe Order of the United Kingdom and Commonwealth.

They pay a high amount of tax on goods and services
Outdated Ritual.
From a Sun article:-//Hamilton lives tax free in Monaco most of the time//
Hamilton hasn't been knighted for his abilities as a racing driver. He's been knighted because he's a BLM Whinger. Like all BLM people. Just whingers and moaners.
"Aww, it isn't fair miss! All those black people being successful but some aren't."
Knighthood my armpit!
If he doesn't decline the knighthood he will look like a right two-faced pillock.
danny: "TTT,//They are not tax havens, they have a lot of tax./ But does a UK national eho doesn't work there pay tax? " - no one pays direct tax, everyone pays the not inconsiderable indirect tax, that's why it's £50 for a G&T. Direct taxation is beloved of your left types but it is in reality a very poor way of obtaining revenue.
06.08. David B, begging for a knighthood . What this then ,a statement just made up ?i
//Hamilton hasn't been knighted for his abilities as a racing driver. He's been knighted because he's a BLM Whinger. Like all BLM people. Just whingers and moaners.//

Absolutely talking out of your backside as usual 10CS. He's been rewarded for being the most successful F1 racing driver of all time. If being a BLM supporter was being awarded, they'd be a damn site more black faces on the honours list don't you think?
Oh no Anne, it's well known that David Beckham hankers after a knighthood.

I can't think of any good reason why he should get one.
Oh Lor' saw the thread title and thought you must be referring to Nigel Farage. So what's he got then ? A Dukedom and ownership of a few counties ?
I don't understand the 'at last' comment, Hamilton as a Sir at his age is daft in my opinion but I feel the same about all sportsmen getting it young without doing something extra for their country.. I'd also be interested to see if all the top drivers got to drive his Mercedes whether he'd still come out on top.
Due to his job, Hamilton spends the majority of his year abroad and not in the UK. So he can call wherever he wants home. The weather is certainly lovely on the Med, and Monaco is a very nice place. So good for him.
> Hamilton hasn't been knighted for his abilities as a racing driver. He's been knighted because he's a BLM Whinger. Like all BLM people. Just whingers and moaners.

Unlike you, then! Sheesh.
//Hamilton as a Sir at his age is daft in my opinion but I feel the same about all sportsmen getting it young without doing something extra for their country..//

Agree completely with that. I don't think sportsmen should be considered for knight/damehoods until they've retired from their sport and there full careers can be assessed. Not just Hamilton, but also the likes of Andy Murray and Allistair Cook.
Mozz, I think Hamilton's already done plenty to be assessed on. He's won a record number of races; winning a few more, or retiring, isn't going to improve on that.

I don't think you should win honours just by being "promising" but he's gone way beyond that.
If I had a hamster which I do not. It would be more worthy of a knighthood than some of these fingers.
Honour your father and mother, not some of this lot.
