Personally I hate fireworks and would rather they be banned from general sale to Joe public. They should be confined to organised public displays.

As in this country, Italy's laws on fireworks prohibit the use fireworks on public roads.

Maybe the birds flocked there as people are confined indoors. Like when wildlife started goinb into cities and towns during the first lockdowns around Europe.
