Untitled, America has a Republican problem. If this was just down to Trump it never would have got this far. The fact is he has had numerous enablers throughout the whole party structure going along with his btullish for whatever reason.

Mayors, state governors, congressmen, senators, the whole lot. Even today, there were senators still trying to disrupt the process by raising objections to what should be the formality of certifying the count from the electoral college.

What anyone sees in this dangerous and malignant buffoon has been a mystery to me for the last six years, and will be forever.

Not sure Pence would want the job for a few days. He has ambitions to run in 2024 and would hope for 2 terms. Presidents are only allowed 2 term max, so being Prez once for a fortnight would eliminate 4 years after 2028.

It was perhaps fortunate that the mob I don’t think expected to be able to get even close to the Capitol. Many of them looked like bewildered tourists once they got in. Plainly though many were violent. If they’d come prepared for it tho it could have been even worse - and as I said earlier what if armed militia had got in?

Next in line is Pence, so he'd get it whether he wanted or not. It would be certainly something.

Impeachment exists for this purpose, though. A President that called for a mob to march on the Congress is unfit for office, whether they are leaving it or not, and whether or not he realised that the mob would listen to him.

Of course he knew. He's relied on it. It has been his strategy for years. It's high time he faced the consequences for this.

The President who goes on about "law and order" has never for a second understood the meaning of that phrase.

We are about to find out. Trump’s behaviour today was extraordinary even from an unusual President. Lines were crossed, serious violations were committed, and there should be repercussions. (but I doubt there will be).
