Are you happy to have your data sent to TwitFace? I think I'll look around for an alternative to the very useful WhatsApp. Pity they are doing this really, I think many will jump ship.

"These regions" being those outside the EU and UK, or inside ? It's unclear.

OG If you scroll down far enough on the link there are two agreements shown, one for the UK and Europe, and one for the rest of the world.

here is what the article says about Uk and Europe:

WhatsApp has confirmed that users in the UK and Europe will not have their data shared with Facebook.

Instead, they'll be asked to agree with a different privacy policy to allow businesses to store and manage their WhatsApp chats on Facebook.

Speaking to MailOnline, a WhatsApp spokesperson said: 'There are no changes to WhatsApp's data sharing practices in the European region (including UK) arising from the updated Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

'For the avoidance of any doubt, it is still the case that WhatsApp does not share European region WhatsApp user data with Facebook for the purpose of Facebook using this data to improve its products or advertisements.'

The privacy policy changes will mainly affect the way businesses can communicate with customers on WhatsApp.

ok but if you have non UK/Europe contacts then your data will still be harvested from their side. I do have a couple of Septics in my contacts.

makes no difference, whether you use android or apple os or amazon alexa if you have, your tracked apple im phones im sure listen out for key words when your not using your phone? example leave your phone on a table and keep mentioning for example say over and over drones i like drones, where to buy drones, any have a drone..drones drones drones... next time your browsing the net, your will get adds for drones.
