Water cannons are illegal in England. So crime fighters committing a crime to halt a crime is rather pointless.

Parties are not going unpunished. Large fines have been handed out to people found breaking the law.

Not sure Londoners are any worse (or better) at obeying the new rules.

I don't know where we stand with water cannon. Boris spent big on some for London but May (as Home Secretary) said he couldn't use them, so they had to be beaten down into watering cans for garden centres or something, at the customary loss. I don't know if they're all permanently banned, though.

it was reported in some papers that a dozen pairs of law enforcing size elevens entered an office in London, to break up an office party seen from the top deck of a passing bus - only for London's finest to discover all but two of the guests were on zoom screens but represented in the room by about 70 cardboard cut-outs.

There isn’t evidence they contacted it at work. There have been hundreds of shop workers die. Some on a checkout is in contact with hundreds of people on every shift. They should be early on the list.

not just Londoners if you don't mind my saying. as to water cannon they were scrapped a while ago.. Theresa May as Home secretary wouldnt allow their use apparently.
